dot Informal access.
You don’t need to book a place and you can join us any time.  You do not have to be formally referred.  In fact, apart from your contact details we do not keep any notes on you and we do not contribute to any medical records.
dot Ongoing Gateway workshops Wednesday afternoons 12.30pm-2.30pm.
Our workshops continue through all holidays and we only take 2 weeks off for Christmas/New Year.  You can attend on a drop-in basis but we would like you to be on time.  Art Materials and hot drinks are provided.  We ask you to contribute £1 per workshop you attend.
dot Tuition
The Workshops are led by experienced artists who will support you to develop your personal artistic interest and to find your own individual expression. 
dot Structured workshops in an art college atmosphere. 
We all work with the same materials and techniques but how you use these is up to you.
dot A say in what we learn. 
We tend to change project every 4-5 weeks, and we discuss together what topic and which materials to use.
dot Portfolio building. 
The artwork you create at Arty-Folks is yours to keep.  Before you take it home we take a digital photo which is added to your personal art portfolio.  You can use this CD to access Further Education or just to see how far you’ve come.
dot Support with applications to Further Education courses
dot Information about recreational activities in Coventry
dot Opportunity to exhibit the artwork you have created with Arty-Folks at our Annual Arty-Folks Exhibition, usually around World Mental Health Day in October.
dot Museum and Gallery visits 2-3 times per year, funding allowing!
dot Progression Workshops. 
Once you have been coming for a while there is a possibility of moving on to our second workshop.  It takes more time, energy and concentration.  It suits people who wish to attend consistently and really want to develop their artwork.
